On Saturday, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the opening of Yoga Wellness Centres in all districts of Uttar Pradesh.

The centers will come up in Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy government hospitals existing therein 40 districts and in remaining 35 districts, the state government will request the central government to grant aid for opening a center in each of them.
CM Yogi directed the officers to create awareness for yoga among the citizens of the state. He also directed to ensure the participation of 51,000 people in group yoga exercise to be organized in Lucknow on International Yoga Day.
The Uttar Pradesh state government will set up a Model Herbal Garden in Lucknow to promote medicinal plant. It will come up near State Homeopathy Medical College.
Other than this, an Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) University will be made in order to regularize the academic session in all government and private Ayurveda, homeopathy and Unani colleges.
Under the clean Ganga project, medicinal gardens will be developed in State Ayurveda College, Varanasi and State Unani College, Allahabad.
During a presentation which was organized by AYUSH, CM Aadityanath ordered the establishment of specialized centers of Ayurveda and Unani method of treatment in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Saharanpur and Banda.
CM also ordered for starting up post graduate course in State Ayurveda College and Hospital in Varanasi, Unani College, Allahabad, TT College Lucknow, State Homeopathic Medical College, Lucknow and Allahabad.
During setting the deadline for the construction and renovation of college and hospitals buildings by the end of the 2017-18 financial year, CM Yogi Aaditynath said
that the people should have information about availability and distribution of medicines in the Ayurveda, Unani and homeopathy hospitals online through medicine management software.
Yogi directed the officers of the health and family welfare department to check foeticide by ensuring strict implementation of the PNDT Act.
The Uttar Pradesh Government is committed to maintaining gender equality. CM Yogi announced that the state government will increase the stipend of ASHA workers posted in the villages.
He directed the officers to check infant and maternal mortality with better implementation of Janani Suraksha Yojana, Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana and Prime Minister Surakshit Abhiyan across the state. The routine immunization of children will be completed on the priority basis, he said.
Yogi government has decided to take action against the government doctors who are found absent on duty. The chief minister directed officers to identify the doctors who are doing private practice and initiate action against them.
