As per the published news of TOI, the State-Level Committee (SLTC) has approved Rs. 61 Crore to prepare the detailed project report of three projects under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme.
According to the reports, out of 61 Crore, Rs.50 Crore will be spent to prepare DPR for supplying drinking water in Bharatpur, Rs.10 Crore will be spent for Jodhpur and rest 1 Crore will be spent for preparing drainage project in Dholpur.
According to an official, the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is planning to use the funds, which were earlier approved under the (AMRUT) mission. The sewerage related work such as upgrading the sewerage interlinking plan and connecting all missing pipe links in the city, have been given to a private firm. They will also replace the old sewerage lines of the Walled City.
A senior JMC official said, “Under the AMRUT mission, the state has received sanctions of Rs 202 crore. The project will be executed as soon as the detail project report is prepared.”
JMC had asked for the report of the missing links from 10 areas some time ago. According to the survey, there are many missing links across over 180 Km. To connect these missing links, JMC would have to spend about Rs. 105 Crore.
