Jobs for Youth under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Now all the youth of districts will get job opportunities under Centre’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The district administration has drawn up the action plan. In this process, the youth will be trained through the NGO, then employment will be provided to them.
The Central government is going to provide houses for poor in the district through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana under national Housing Rural Mission. In the current financial year, all the districts have received a target for constructing 10,261 houses in the district, which has been allocated in each panchayat of districts.
Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) 2002
The central government has made some changes in the parameters of Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) 2002 as well as changing the name of the scheme. Under the scheme, only BPL families were benefited on the basis of 2001 Census. But now the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas would be provided to the beneficiaries on basis of 2011 Economical & Social Census.
- In this scheme, the beneficiaries are selecting through the Gramsabha. Under the plan, housing construction will only be used in fly ash bricks, which work through the local masons.
- Under the scheme, the youth will be trained through the NGO’s and then job opportunities will be provided to them. The direction has been given by the district Collector Dr. S Bhartidasan.
- The district Collector Dr. S Bhartidasan said that the scheme work is to be completed in stipulated time duration. The construction of the houses will be given on the basis preferred youth.
Beneficiaries will Get Double Amount
The beneficiaries will get much benefit under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, because under Indira Awas Yojana, the beneficiaries were selected to give houses in Rs. 70,000. Now in the same selection process Rs. 1 lakh 40 thousand will be provided for each house under the new mission. Under IAY only BPL families were benefited who are living below poverty line.
