Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) – Housing For All (HFA) is one of the most ambitious schemes of Central Government. The scheme was launched in 2015 by the Indian Prime Minister Narender Modi. The main target of the scheme is to construct two crore houses for the urban and rural poor who are living in mud houses of one room or homeless. For the implementation of the scheme, the government is also providing a loan facility with the maximum limit of 6 lakh from all nationalized banks which are under the governance by RBI (Reserve Bank of India).
Benefits under the Scheme:
The people of EWS, LIG and BPL category from all states will be included in this scheme. The registration process of this scheme is completely online. This scheme will provide a financial assistance up to 6 lakhs in the form of the loan at low-interest rates. Now poor eligible people will able to construct new pucca houses for their own.
Main Aim of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana:
– The main aim of PM Awas Yojana is to provide “Housing for All”. The aim is to provide affordable housing to all the homeless poor across the country by the year 2022.
– The aim is that no one will remain homeless at that time when India will celebrate its 75th independence day.
– The aim is to construct about 2 crores affordable housing bu the year 2022.
PM Awas Yojana Nagaland
There are about 4041 cities of different states are selected for PM Awas Yojana across the country in order to construct affordable housing for poor. Out of these, 23 cities have been selected from Nagaland under PMAY. Hoping that there will be most cities picked in the upcoming phases of PMAY scheme.
