Maharashtra Mission Muskan – The Maharashtra Government led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has come up with a new scheme named ‘Mission Muskan’. Under this scheme, the state government will provide free health treatment to the children who are suffering from life-threatening ailments and are battling for their life.

There are many poor and needy children in the state, especially in rural areas, villages, who are in dire need of immediate medical attention. But due to the financial crisis of the family and being economically backward, the families cannot afford expensive treatment. Therefore, for saving the life of these children, Maharashtra Chief Ministers Relief Fund has signed an MOU with the Rotary Club International.
Objectives of Maharashtra Mission Muskan
The main motive of the Maharashtra Government is to reduce the deaths of the children due to lack of treatment of dangerous disease by providing them free medical treatment. The state government’s motive is that no one will die by suffering from disease and lack of treatment due to the financial crisis.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said that Mission Muskan is an ambitious project of the state government. Through this, the government is focusing on the treatment of the children who are suffering from life-threatening ailments and are battling for their life. For the successful operation of this mission, the Rotary Club has always been supportive of the state government. The Maharashtra Mission Muskan assures that no child will be left without treatment in the state.”
He further said “When we look at the smile on the face of the parents, after their child is saved, the smile is worth millions. I am sure that Mission Muskan will bring a smile on their faces. Our mission is to reach the grass-root levels and all corners of the state.”
So far about 15 lakh poor and needy patients have been given financial aid under the Chief Ministers Medical Relief Fund. In previous 3 to 4 years, about Rs. 350 crore have been disbursed to the poor and needy.
