After the revolutionary decision of currency ban, there are several changes are going on across the country. People has now found a way to pay online to buy other products due to lack of cash. Through the online transactions, many people got much relief in this situation.
The government has announced several schemes to promote and create awareness in the people for digital payment. The Central Government will honor those 10 districts by Digital Payment Champion Award whose performance will be best in terms of Digital Payment. These districts will also be given Rs.5 Lakh by Policy Commission. The government also announced that those first 50 panchayats of the country, which will go on the way of digital payment, will be honored by the Digital Payment Award of Honour.
Under this program the District Collectors, Deputy Commissioners, District Magistrates will be given incentives for promoting the Digital Payment. According to the scheme, the digital payment must be done by any methods of the 5 methods. Here are the five payment methods, USSD (* 99 # banking), payment through Aadhar, Wallets, and RS / debit / credit / prepaid cards. Also, the government has ordered the district collectors to aware and educate people about the digital payment.
