Delhi Vocational Training Scheme – The State Government of Delhi is going to launch Delhi Vocational Training Scheme for the Beggars of the state. Under this training scheme, the state government will provide training on tailoring, handicraft and other skill development courses to the beggars of the state. Through this scheme, the Delhi Government will ensure that all the roads, streets and signals will become free from beggars and beggars are able to earn at-least Rs. 250 per day for at least livelihood.
Delhi Vocational Training Scheme
Under this scheme, work will be done to make beggars self-dependent. The beggars will be given training in sewing, handicrafts and other skills so that they can live with dignity and ensure a better future for their children. A cabinet note has been prepared for the program, under which training of professional skills will be given to those living in government beggar homes. Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam said that this scheme will be presented to the Cabinet soon.
Rs.250 Per Day to Beggars Under Delhi Vocational Training Scheme
According to the news, Minister Gautam said that the government will give 250 rupees to the nominees for the program every day. He said that our goal is to give them life of dignity and respect. We will ensure that they do not return to the work of begging again.
Rashmi Krishnan, Secretary, Social Welfare Department said that dozens of beggars live for years in government houses of the Delhi Government. This idea is to give them the option to change their life.
Sewing Machine for Beggars Under Delhi Vocational Training Scheme
The beggars will be given identity card during training, the government hopes that many others will be motivated to join the program. Gautam said that there is also a proposal to provide sewing machine after training.
