The Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje has launched ‘Annapurna Rasoi Yojana’ today. This scheme has been launched at Municipal Corporation Headquarter, Lal Kothi, Tonk Road, Rajasthan. Under this scheme, the government will provide breakfast and food at low prices for the poor people of the state.
Annapurna Rasoi Yojana
Under this scheme, the state government will provide breakfast and lunch at Rs.5 and Rs.8 for needy people such as workers, students, employers, auto drivers, street vendors, rikshawale, old age people, female workers.
In the first phase, the scheme has been implemented in 12 districts of Rajasthan including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Pratapgarh, Banswara, Dungarpur, Bara and Jhalawad.
The municipal corporation and government departments have already identified the places where the food is to be distributed. The government will provide three times food through 80 vans at these places.
Vasundhara Raje said that the Rajasthan government is curious to start the scheme in all districts in the second phase. The government has also determined the dress for the employees of Annapurna Rasoi Yojana.
