DDUGJY: Govt. to Provide 4.27 Crore Free Electricity Connections for BPL Households


The Government of India has decided to provide free electricity connections to the BPL households under Deen Dayal Updhaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY). According to the scheme, around 4.27 crore connections have been approved and 2.5 crore free connections have been provided to the BPL households as on 31 October 2016.
