Under this scheme, the state government will give a monthly pension of Rs. 6000 after the age of 60 years. Along with this, the government has also introduced Mukhya Mantri Vriddha Pension Yojana for old age people of Bihar.

Bihar Patrakar Samman Yojana Objective

The main objective of this scheme is to provide a monthly pension to the journalists who are 60 years or older. In this scheme, a monthly pension of Rs. 6000/- will be given to the journalists. According to the scheme, only those journalists will eligible for this scheme who has been in this profession for at least 20 years. One important thing is that the person concerned of this scheme cannot take the benefit of any other pension scheme.

  • This scheme is launched by the Bihar Government especially for Journalists.
  • The government will provide a monthly pension of Rs. 6000/- after the age of 60 years.
  • Only those journalists can avail the benefit of this scheme who has been in this profession for at least 20 years.
  • The eligible beneficiary of this scheme cannot take the benefit of any other pension scheme.

According to the scheme, the implementation process of the scheme will start very soon. However, the government has also introduced its new Old Age Pension Scheme named Mukhya Mantri Vriddha Pension Yojana.

In this scheme, the government will provide a monthly pension of Rs 400 for everyone in Bihar above the age of 60. Everyone can avail the benefit of this scheme who belongs to any caste, community or religion. The government employees will not eligible for this scheme. The implementation process of this scheme will start from 1st April 2019.
