The Rajasthan Government has taken a big decision. All families of BPL and APL will get wheat at the rate of Rs. 1 per KG. This announced was made by Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot through a tweet.

Significantly, this decision of providing Wheat at the rate of Rs. 1 per KG to poor people in its election manifesto. The state government will provide the benefits of this decision to the BPL and APL families under the public distribution system. The Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot tweeted this information. In this regard, preparation has been started on behalf of the Department of Food and Civil Supplies.

Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot made a tweet on Friday. Pilot wrote, “Rajasthan government’s decision, All the BPL-APL will get wheat at the rate of Rs. 1 per kg. Through this decision, the Rajasthan Government will benefit a total number of 94 lakh families of the state. It is being told that Food and Supply Department is preparing to implement this scheme as soon as possible.

This decision of the government will benefit the 94 lakh BPL and APL families of the state. Currently, the wheat is given at the rate of Rs. 2 per kg to all the APL nad BPL families of the state. Under this, allocation of wheat is being done at 53 per cent in urban areas and 69 per cent in rural areas at Rs 2 per kg.

Under this scheme, wheat is being given to 4.40 crore selected people of about 99 lakh families. In this, 35 kilo units per family and 5 kg of wheat per person is being given per unit under Antyodaya Yojana Rajasthan.
